Innovators and entrepreneurs face many hurdles in their efforts to commercialize a new technology. Through a competitive awards-based program, the federal government enables small businesses to explore their technological potential and provides the incentive to profit from its commercialization. The SBIR/STTR programs provides a pathway to compete for millions of dollars in federal funding. Pat Dillon is an expert in the programs.
